This classic photo on bands makes a point. Regarding what you do in life, what are the perceptions of your parents, girlfriends or wives, society, colleagues, and even yourself compared to the reality?  I remember when I first started my career with Illinois Tool Works, my fraternity brothers thought I sold garden tools. Something tells me that if you are a car salesman, accountant, fireman, flight attendant….there is a huge gap in what you do every day and what people think you do.
