John Hawthorne walks over to the tourist counter to thank Helena.

John                                         I’d like to thank-you, gracious, for your help was nice.

Helena (coyly)                     My job’s to answer questions and to give advice.

John (flirtatious)                Well you could help me greatly if I knew your name.

Helena                                     It’s on my I.D. — I tell all the men the same.

John (looking)                     Yes, Miss Barcelos let me ask a favor of you

Helena (joking)                    I might be more inclined if I knew your name too.

John                                         They call me John Hawthorne I come from Boston Town.

I don’t know one soul down here could you show me round?

Helena                                    My name’s Helena Alexandra de Barcelos

If you wanna     see the sights like no other fellas.

Then I’m sure you won’t mind meeting

someone who must meet you too.

At any rate, I need permission from her if I can date you.

John                                        Your mother?

Helena (smiling)                 No other!

John (gulps)                         You make it sound like torture, should I feel this way?

Helena (joking)                   Oh no, my mom won’t bite, her bark just sounds that way.

John (humored)                 You know your smiling eyes tell me you play a game.
